Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed by Zeyhi ("Zeyhi," "we," "us," or "our") when you use our website, apps, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights.
We are built in India, for India-first teams, and we handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). This policy also notes globally recognised practices where they apply.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect information you give us directly, such as when you create an account, request access, join a waitlist, scan an event QR code, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, professional network data, and any messages you send us.
Information From Event Sign-ups (e.g., Onam Batch Wall)
When you scan a Zeyhi QR code at an event and submit your name, batch year, and email:
- We collect your name, batch year, email, and the source of the scan (e.g., card, zine, standee).
- Your name and batch year are shown to other attendees from the same batch who scan the same QR during the event. We display only your first name and last initial (e.g., "Ram P.") to protect privacy.
- Your email address is never displayed to other attendees. It is used only to notify you when a batchmate checks in, and to follow up about Zeyhi warm-intro credits if you opted in.
- Event scan data is deleted within 90 days after the event unless you separately create a Zeyhi account or opt into ongoing marketing.
Information Received Automatically
When you visit our Services, we may automatically receive:
- Log data: IP address, browser type, date/time of request, and how you interacted with the Service.
- Device information: operating system, browser, and device type.
- Usage information: features you use and time spent.

4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us host, analyze, email, and secure the Services (e.g., Vercel, Google Analytics, Web3Forms, Stripe for payments, and later Supabase for database hosting). They process data only on our instructions.
- Other event attendees as described in the event sign-up section above.
- Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law. Event scan data is deleted within 90 days after the event unless you opt into ongoing communications or create an account.

8. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No internet transmission is ever fully secure, so please consider what you send us.
9. International Transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside India, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside India, we take steps to ensure it is protected through contractual safeguards and the security practices of our providers.
